Originally broadcast on French TV in 1969, Numéro Un is a colorful, psychedelic, "flower power" fueled program presented by Gerard Klein. Featuring memorable performances by David Alexandre Winter (future father of Ophélie Winter), Jacques Dutronc, Michel Polnareff, Chicago Transit Authority, Serge Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin, Wallace Collection, Les Ballets de Victor Upshaw, Joe Dassin, Mike Brant who marks his first French TV broadcast, Francoise Hardy singing one of Gainsbourg's songs “Comment Te Dir Adieu”, which would later be repackaged as a disco version, and Julien Clerc just after his highly successful Paris run of the musical "Hair."
