Live from the Coconut Grove in Hollywood it's the 4th annual New Year's Rockin' Eve with host Neil Sedaka. Featuring performances by Average White Band, Freddie Fender, K.C. & The Sunshine Band, and Melissa Manchester. This program also featured remotes from Times Square, once again, anchored by Dick Clark. 

In 1977, New Year's Rockin' Eve grew in popularity and became the dominant New Year's special on U.S. television. Hosted by Frankie Valli and featuring performances by K.C. & The Sunshine Band, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Donna Summer, and The Four Seasons.
