When the wife of prominent deputy district attorney Sam Belden (William Shatner) and her lover are being murdered, district attorney Timothy Fitzgerald (Ed Flanders) knows the case needs to be handled with care. Meanwhile, Belden hires defense attorney DeWitt Foster (Eli Wallach) to represent him in court. Look out for plenty of Star Trek alumni James Doohan, Susan Howard, Alfred Ryder, Arlene Martel, and Michael Pataki, as well as Hollywood legend Myrna Loy as a judge.
