Three Rooms in Manhattan is a black-and-white 1965 French drama film filmed in New York City. It is based on the 1946 novel "Trois Chambres à Manhattan" by Belgian writer Georges Simenon. After his wife leaves him, a young French actor, François Comte (Maurice Ronet) moves to New York to work for a television company. One evening, he meets an attractive young woman, Kay Larsi (Annie Girardot) in a bar. Three Rooms in Manhattan marks Robert De Niro's on camera debut in a small uncredited part as a client at a dinner scene.
