New Year's Rockin' Eve '74 (the 2nd ever broadcast of the special which aired on December 31st 1973) was hosted by comedian George Carlin and featured pre-recorded musical performances by The Pointer Sisters, Billy Preston, Linda Ronstadt and Tower of Power once again from the Queen Mary ballroom in Long Beach, California. The program had live Times Square coverage with Dick Clark, featuring the ball drop. The entire special was sponsored by Dr Pepper. Includes original broadcast commercials from 1973!
