An undercover agent (Roy Scheider) matches wits with several assassins as he attempts to locate a stolen fortune in Germany. This ABC pilot location was moved from Munich to Vienna to retain the Germanic feel, but avoid the impossible logistics of shooting on location in a city hosting the 1972 Summer Olympics at the time. The pilot was brought to series later that year as "Assignment Vienna" with Robert Conrad replacing Roy Scheider's role as Scheider chose to favor a movie career.
