The TV series Eischied stars Joe Don Baker as tough, brilliant, southern-bred New York City Police Department Chief of Detectives Earl Eischied is a close retelling of the Son of Sam case, with Albert Colvin (James Stephens) as a serial killer who hunts down and shoots beautiful women while taunting reporters by phone. The 2-hour pilot "Only the Pretty Girls Die" and 9 Eischied episodes are included in this set as well as the 3-hour TV Movie prequel "To Kill A Cop" make extensive use of location filming in New York, a rarity for television series of the time.
