Director Serge Bourguignon and Oscar Millard adapted Michael Barrett’s tome which crash lands crop-duster Max von Sydow in a boondocks Mexican town coincident with the passing through of Efrem Zimbalist Jr, latter on the lam from a murder rap and accompanied by Yvette Mimieux. Sydow cues police inspector Gilbert Roland to the price on Zimbalist’s head, and the slow chase is on, leading to uneventful and unresisted capture.
