An unique take on "Sleeping Beauty" based on a short story by John Collier and directed by James B. Harris. It features Zalman King as an eccentric jazz musician who one day happens upon a carnival sideshow where he witnesses a human exhibition featuring a young woman suffering from a rare medical condition from which she has remains in a constant state of sleep. He is so taken by her that he decides to buy her off the carny. Co-starring Richard Pryor, who plays King's best friend, a strung out graffiti artist.
